Ministry: Russian companies continue hiring new people

MOSCOW, Mar 18 (PRIME) – The number of hirings exceeds the number of firings because the  Russian companies are still hiring new people although hiring has slowed down, Deputy Labor and social Protection Minister Yelena Mukhtiyarova said at a meeting on Friday.

“We see that the companies are still hiring, even though less intensively than in the previous months. Still, the amount of new hires exceeds the amount of firings,” she said.

The ministry has registered no mass firings, but the amount of companies that introduce downtimes is rising. The downtimes are usually explained by redirections of logistics chains, she said.
